The following is to assist in lookup (or searching) old mold names & numbers to understand what changes happened.
- If you use your own printed tank list, price sheet, or company computer system to generate tank quotes/orders from- you need to make sure these are reflected
- All changes on here are automatically reflected in PolyQuote or quotes from the FrontLine
- If you order one of these retired tank IDs- we will contact you and require you to resend PO with our new updated tank name and stock number
October 2018- 15 mold additions (or name changes)
The following new tank sizes, are in essence, simply added to our fleet-
We had several tank molds (tanks) that shared the same "name" but had physical differences from each other.
Imagine having 2 different cooking pans in your kitchen but both called a 10in pan. (but one was deep and teflon coated while the other was shallow and cast iron)- that could lead to issues when the cook said give me the 10 in pan! Well that was a confusion for us and we fixed it. We renamed some of the duplicate cooking pan names (molds) to something else, so when one is called for, there will be no confusing it with the other.
- Our quote program PolyQuote has these changes made so you will always get the new name when using it.
- Our website and downloadable catalog have these new tank names added
- Our drawings on the website are updated.
- All tank volumes on all tanks, previously and now- are nominal volumes. Our new volume names are even closer to actual straight wall volume height, but all tanks go beyond this volume when fluid starts to rise even an inch into the dome.
Drawings or Gallonage inch chart will give you precise volume calculations.
CAUTIONS
- The old tank names (the retired tanks below)- leave behind a still in production tank with same name- (but with differences in some way and at a different plant)
- Be sure you are getting the choice you want by examining the differences. Freight Equalization gives you same freight price regardless of factory.
We suggest you simply tell customers we have 15 new tank choices- because truthfully we do. We just never clarified in past how one part was different than the other unless you noticed it on drawing.
This is the easiest way to help customers understand they have more choices in shapes and designs of domes for example, than they may have realized before.
Remember Freight Equalization makes all tank choices across the country the same freight as every other- so its a national inventory all having the same freight for you and your customer.
